c)

Fire Performance

Ecomag board is UL approved (assembly number UL U055) for 1-, 1 1/2-, 2-, 3- and 4-hour fire resistant wall systems, providing an unprecedented degree of safety and security. Offering superior fire protection, Ecomag Board requires only a single layer, which expedites job completion, saving time and money.

Surface Burning Characteristics (ASTM E84)

Flame spread - 0

Smoke developed - 0

d)

Sound Performance

Sound Transmission Class (STC) ratings of 53 on a 2-hour UL assembly and 54 on a 3-hour UL assembly are available.

e)

Environmental Considerations

Ecomag board is manufactured from mineral components and water and does not contain any organic solvents, asbestos, oils or toxic components, or any heavy metal salts. No energy is consumed in the manufacturing process since the entire process is conducted at room temperature. Any scrap or drop-off may be reground and reused in production of Ecomag board. Dust or sawdust may be safely buried in landfills, if required. Ecomag board is free of material that would cause contamination or environmental damage to the surrounding area or nearby streams or bodies of water.
